We worked with Maximo Yedid (and his great driver Joe) during our recent trip to BA in July. I found Maximo on the web. He was the first one I contacted and I liked him right away so I didn't need to look further. He wrote back promptly, gave me all the necessary info we needed, and he was able to schedule a private tour for the exact day I requested. I had been to BA twice before, but it was my husband's first trip. Maximo therefore did a great job of tailoring his tour to our requests. I got to experience new sites, my husband saw most of the traditional sites, and I was treated to new explanations about things I'd seen before. He showed up on time, combined a Jewish tour and a general tour, and was very knowledgeable as well as personable. We were even serenaded in the car with beautiful Spanish singing by Joe! There was one fact we were confused about and I was impressed when a few days later, even though I had forgotten all about it, Maximo e-mailed me the correct information after looking it up (and he had been right, of course). We also learned that he is an accomplished tango dancer. All in all, I recommend him highly.
Thanks again, Maximo!

We found Maximo through his website, and found it very easy to work with him to set up tours prior to our arrival in Buenos Aires. We booked a city tour for our group, and also some private tours for just the two of us to see some of the outlying areas. The Gaucho Tour and Tigre Tour were both very enjoyable. In all cases, we found Maximo to be very professional and knowledgeable. He was always willing to be flexible to meet our needs and accommodate our wishes. His drivers were all excellent and very professional. We also thoroughly enjoyed the tango show he booked for us at Esquina Carlos Guardel. We would highly recommend Maximo's services when you visit Buenos Aires.

Because of scheduling conflicts, Maximo provided another tour guide, Victoria, for our 1/2 day tour of Jewish Buenos Aires. Her English was impeccable, as was her knowledge of the Jewish community. The driver shuttled us from place to place, and picked us up when we had completed our visit to a particular area or facility. We saw two synagogues, visited the museum inside one of them, visited the site of the former Israeli Embassy, saw the AMIA building from the outside, spent some time in a Jewish bookstore and gift shop, and walked the streets of the fabric district of Once. For the time we had, we feel it was well spent. They dropped us off at a location where we had to meet someone for lunch. All in all, they did a top notch job, made us feel very comfortable and welcome, and met our expectations. The only regret is that we didn't do more, but that will be for our next visit to Buenos Aires.

We found the tour interesting, educational, and very enjoyable. All of the important sites were visited and very well explained. The walk through the Jewish section allowed us to view the everyday lives of the current residents as well as learn about the Jews that had come beofre them to build this community.

I have been meaning to write and tell you what a wonderful time we all had while in Buenos Aires. We loved our Tango night and Natalie was a terrific guide. I feel very fortunate that I discovered your web site and I would highly recommend you to anyone who is coming to your special city. Thanks from all of us.

On searching the Internet I found the batours site very easily and very comprehensive offerring an excellent variety of tours in Buenos Aires.
Our guide, Maximo Yedid, was excellent, very knowledgeable and very accommodating to any requests that we had. All arrangements were carried out efficiently, timeously and with good humour. We particularly enjoyed our night at Carlos Gardel Tango Show, followed by a local milonga, where we sampled the real Buenos Aires.
Can highly recommend Maximo, for his experience ,local knowledge of Buenos Aires and good english. If we were to return, then we would have no hesitation in contacting Maximo again.

Everything worked out well in terms of the driver arriving on time, the excellent theatre
seats, good food, interesting show and our return to our apartment. Thank-you.
The V.I.P. 'package' was a treat for us and a fitting end to our amazing stay in Buenos Aires.
Maximo was pleasant to deal with and extremely efficient in corresponding with us and organizing this special evening at the Carlos Gardel Theatre.

Recently during a visit to Buenos Aires, we took a Jewish tour of the city with Maximo Yedid. We found him to be articulate and fully informed about the subject and sights. He walked us through the Jewish neighborhood of Once and arranged for us to enter both a Sephardic and Ashkenazi synagogue. In the main synagogue we met with the rabbi and had a tour of the museum there. He described other significant plaques and memorials within the city as he showed them to us. After our 4 hour tour we had a much greater understanding of both the history and the present life of Jewish Argentina.
We would not hesitate to recommend using Maximo as a guide.

Last month we had the very good fortune to have contracted with you for a guided tour of Buenos Aires. While you had informed us at the time of booking that because of your scheduling conflicts we would be working with another guide, we had some initial concerns. Nevertheless, everything you had promised and all we had hoped for was provided. Our guides - one for the Jewish tour and another for the full day city tour - were both knowledgeable, dynamic, and well-spoken. The vans were clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. The transfer to and from the Tango Show at night and the transfer to the airport went seamlessly. Your prices were very reasonable and fair. In summary, we would, without reservation, recommend your services to anyone.
Thank you for making our trip to Buenos Aires such an informative and pleasant experience.

December, 2009 we traveled to Argentina for our first visit to South America and we decided that a private guide would be the perfect addition to our adventure. I found Maximo on the web and we started conversing in English about our plans and what we expected to learn from our day with him. He is very attentive and custom tailored a day outing for us. We told him that we must have some added walking time as we are very active seniors. Well, Maximo was at our door at the appointed time with our driver (very knowledgeable and pleasant company) and off we went to explore this bustling city from many different vantage points! We actually spent 7 hours with him that day and we got an amazing tour of the highlights of this fascinating and beautiful city including the important historical and cultural overview as it applied to each area.
That evening Maximo joined us at a Tango dinner and show and shared more of his knowledge of the tango culture which added an important aside to the history of Buenos Aires.
We highly recommend Maximo as a pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable guide and we truly enjoyed his company for an entire day! He covered every aspect of our requests and more.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel to numerous places and I was very much looking forward to visiting Buenos Aires. I didn't know people that have visited Argentina, so aside from the usual guide books my friend bought, I really wanted a more intimate experience from a local's point of view. I decided on getting a tour guide and Maximo most definitely exceeded my expectations. We had a wonderful experience. Maximo took us to places that were wonderful and important to see, but also provided an abundance of information and historical references. I don't think I could have had the appreciation and love for Buenos Aires if I didn't have Maximo's added information and intimate details of every place. We covered so much in just one day. And wow, his suggestion of the Tango dinner and show was top notch!
Maximo, you made our visit so rich and full of enjoyment! I wish there was a Maximo in every new place we go to in the future!

My wife and I were interested in a full day private tour of Buenos Aires and the Tigre Delta area. We found Maximo's web site, and contacted him. His speedy and thorough replies made it easy for us to decide on using his services, and we were very pleased with the service and value we received.
Maximo was waiting for us as we disembarked from our NCL cruise, and as he had the largest placard standing right in the front, we had no trouble finding him. As an added bonus, Max used Jose' (Joe) as his driver. Joe is as fluent in English as Max, and both them were a joy to be with for the full day. Although you could spend a week or more in Buenos Aires, between Max and Joe we saw just about every thing we had hoped to see, and then some.
We highly recommend Max for anyone visiting this outstanding, lively city, filled with beautiful parks and wonderful sites.

If you want tours that are tailor-made, intelligent and not the ordinary, “commercial” type, Maxi is the perfect guide. He’s a well-educated, polite young man, who speaks good English and really knows his subject. He knows the “tango scene” very well and is a wonderful dancer himself. In addition, he is well-organized and punctual.
My cousin, who did not know anything about Buenos Aires and I, who had been to BA several times, took a city tour and a trip to Tigre with Maxi. He offered us a great deal of interesting information, and is a pleasant companion. Both my cousin and I feel the time and money were very well-spent and that we were able to deepen our knowledge of Argentina and its culture.
I first met Maxi in 2004, when he was assisting Carlos Gavito in some tango workshops, where he danced as my partner and also partnered me at a number of milongas. Maxi is a terrific dancer and an interesting person to speak with. I’m sure that any of his tango-related tours will be very worthwhile and pleasurable. I recommend him without reservation.

As a wine expert who travels the world, I recently visited Buenos Aires for the first time. Maximo was hired by the Wines of Argentina to show me the city and he did an amazing job. His in-depth knowledge of the city and its history was complemented by his ability to determine what I sites I wanted to see. I can’t wait to return to spend time with Maximo and learn to tango, too!
